! I want to let you know that The Marlin Club is putting on their 22nd Annual Spring Shootout Tournament this Saturday, May 18, 2024. The tournament is open to the public with an angler entry fee of $75 per angler. The tournament’s target species are tuna, yellowtail, white seabass and halibut. There is also an optional $500 entry fee per boat for the High Boat Jackpot and an optional $100 entry fee per angler for the Big Fish Jackpot.
The event is open to the public and you can get the Entry Form and the rules at The Marlin Club web site at www.themarlinclub.com .
The registration deadline is 5:30 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024 at The Marlin Club located at 2445 Shelter Island Drive in San Diego. At this date, the best thing would be to drop off the registration form with the payment at The Marlin Club prior to the 5:30 PM registration deadline on Friday, May 17, 2024. There is also a Captain’s Meeting at the Marlin Club at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
“Lines In” is at 3:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2024 and “Lines Out” is at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Weigh in is at The Marlin Club located at 2445 Shelter Island Drive in San Diego between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024. All fish must be brought to The Marlin Club by water for official weighing in the boat in which they were caught.
The Awards Celebration is on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at The Marlin Club, 2445 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA. A meal is provided to tournament anglers as part of their Tournament Entry and meals are also available for purchase for non-participants.
